Effective Date: September 1, 2026

Sunday Modern respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how it is handled when you visit our website, submit artwork, or participate in our exhibitions and programming.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, location, and other contact details.

  • Artist Submissions: Artist biographies, statements, submitted artwork, photographs, portfolio links, and other materials provided through our application forms.

  • Payment Information: Application fees and payment confirmations processed through Venmo.

  • Newsletter Signups: Email addresses voluntarily provided to receive news, exhibition announcements, and updates from Sunday Modern.

  • Website Information: Basic technical information, such as browser type, device information, IP address, and website usage data, which may be collected through cookies or analytics tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to process and review artist submissions, communicate with artists regarding exhibitions and programming, coordinate installations, process application payments, distribute newsletters and announcements, promote exhibitions and events, and maintain and improve our website.

3. Artist Submissions & Artwork

Artist applications and submissions are collected through Google Forms. Information and artwork submitted are used for reviewing applications and considering artists for exhibitions and programming.

Submitting artwork does not automatically grant Sunday Modern permission to publicly display, reproduce, or promote your work. Artwork selected for exhibition may be used only in accordance with the Image Rights & Usage terms agreed to by the artist.

We do not publicly display or use artwork from artists who have not been selected for an exhibition without their permission.

4. Application Fees & Exhibition Costs

Application fees help cover the costs of organizing, hosting, and curating our exhibitions, including the work and resources involved in creating opportunities for artists to show their work. Sunday Modern is independently run and community-focused. We are not a nonprofit organization, but our goal is to keep participation as accessible as possible while creating meaningful opportunities for artists. Fees are used to support the exhibitions and the spaces we create for artists.

5. Social Media & Artist Features

Sunday Modern may feature artists and their work across our social media platforms and website through voluntary sharing and promotion. These features are separate from exhibition opportunities and do not guarantee or imply selection for any current or future exhibitions or programming.

There are no fees, payments, or compensation associated with being featured. All artwork remains the intellectual property of the respective artist, and all copyrights remain with the artist.

Artwork featured on Sunday Modern's website and social media is shared for viewing and promotional purposes only. Anyone wishing to reproduce, publish, distribute, or otherwise use an artist's work must contact the artist directly and obtain their permission. Viewing or accessing artwork through our platforms does not grant permission to use or reproduce it.

For questions regarding artist features or the use of materials shared by Sunday Modern, please contact hello@sunday-modern.com.

6. Payments & Third-Party Services

Application fees are processed through Venmo and are subject to Venmo's own terms, conditions, and privacy practices. Sunday Modern does not directly process or store full credit card information.

We also use third-party services, including Google Forms, to collect and manage artist applications. These services may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies.
